UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE+ MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFEWe have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Non – Medical Prescriber to join our Substance Misuse team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in central Winchester.HMP Winchester is a Category B Local remand prison located in Central Winchester accommodating approximately 670 male prisoners.Although the site is close to Winchester city centre there is onsite parking for all staff and it is a short walk from Winchester train station.Hours37.5 hours a week working 7.5 hours a day Monday to Friday 1pm-9pm. You will
- Undertakes Clinical Nursing Practice at an advanced level using expert knowledge and clinical skills to deliver care to patients
- Provide expert professional advice to patients, carers and colleagues and ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence.
- Provide treatment as required, including prescribing medication, within their sphere of competence.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments of patients looked after.
- Provide advice/support in relation to crisis situations, conditions, and treatment plans, based on medical and treatment history.
- Carry out a clinical review with the patient and update care plans accordingly

- Registered professional with current active registration (NMC, GPHC, HCPC)
- BSc or equivalent qualification
- Non-medical prescribing qualification
- Understanding and knowledge of policy developments related to the delivery of primary care services including , Clinical Governance, Quality & Outcomes Framework
- Understanding of evidence based practice
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
