Job description
The post holder is responsible for providing Supervisory and Administrative Support within the Warehouse based in our Regional Warehouse At Newport.The main responsibility is to oversee and supervise all data input of requests for stock via the Oracle Warehouse Management System [WMS] system whilst adhering to the Business’ ISO/Quality framework.
- Receiving shipments:Receiving shipments, signing paperwork, and unloading packages from trucks
- Tracking shipments:Tracking shipments and following up on orders in case of delays
- Updating inventory:Updating inventory management systems and company inventories
- Inspecting items:Inspecting items received to ensure quality and accuracy
- Managing invoices: Handling and documenting invoices
- Identifying bottlenecks:Identifying any bottlenecks in the process
- Managing returns:Managing and returning wrong shipments
- Maintaining records:Maintaining warehouse inventory records and keeping detailed records of shortages and spares of items
Staff Supervising the warehouse receipting team, assigning tasks, training new workers, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. Qualifications and KnowledgeEssential
- NVQ level3 warehousing and storage/or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Oracle FMS modules: Order Management, Inventory, Purchasing and Warehouse Management.
