Job Description
Insignia Medical Systems is a pioneering UK based Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) provider, offering technology-leading solutions. With over 15 years pedigree in medical imaging, we have unrivalled experience in creating software that will take medical imaging storage to the next generation. As a British company specialising only in medical applications, we uniquely offer scalable solutions developed and delivered locally. Position Overview:
As an Insignia Medical Systems Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing first and second line support to our customers on their PACS service. This will include investigating and resolving complex incidents and service requests logged via our Service Management portal.
You will possess excellent customer service skills with a good level understanding of ITIL and the
Service Desk environment, as well as be familiar with the workflow and escalation of a busy suppor team.
After a qualifying period you will be expected to join the on-call rota. This role might require occasional travel
Qualifications
Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting our customers PACS equipment and the PACS application set.
Ensures incidents and requests are handled appropriately and escalated in accordance
with the support procedures.
Work closely with the team to provide end-user support and issue resolution
Rigorously adheres to standard support processes.
Creates, reviews and maintains support documentation.
Monitors system’s interfaces, hardware, software and performance characteristics
Use analytical troubleshooting skills to identify root cause and implement workarounds.
Supervision Received:
- Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- At least 2 years’ experience in an application support role.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Has a full clean driving license
- Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Server technologies
- Is a diligent worker with a good attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
- Educated to Degree level
- Linux administration
- Experience of NAS Storage
- IT Experience of working in a healthcare setting
