- Offering guidance on organizational design (structure, processes) using a systems approach, while monitoring and supporting human resource programs to ensure smooth and effective operations within the organization.
- Leading and coordinating the development of short-term and strategic plans to successfully monitor and execute resourcing processes, including organizational change controls.
- Taking a lead role in ensuring that processes and activities are aligned with priorities and resources are in the right places to achieve the desired results.
- Leading and coordinating hiring/hiring campaigns to support FD&ER Resourcing.
- Providing oversight and support for changes to roles, responsibilities, and governing documentation, ensuring adherence to organizational change management processes.
- Taking a lead role and oversee workflow in completing requests to hire, job descriptions, justifications, briefing notes, sections, interviews, reference checks, etc.
- Leading the development of routine reports such as FD&ER resource plan and D&ER resource plan.
- Developing, running, and consolidating reports on Impact actions.
- Tracking and reporting on fact findings across D&ER.
- Managing resource-related improvement plan actions.
- Working with HR to revise and define responsibility on positions when required.
- Providing oversight on pool hiring to ensur ongoing success.
- Assisting Responsible Managers (RM) and Action Managers (AM) with progressing and closing actions through ImpAct.
- Leading meetings with RM’s and AM’s to define closure and track action progress.
- Developing reports to measure action closure success.
- Developing fact finds database.
- Ensuring fact finds are tracked, completed and filed.
- Developing and maintaining metrics on fact finds across D&ER.
- Being Single point of contact (SPOC) for any space requirements for FD&ER staff.
- Support relocation efforts for FD&ER staff as required.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Graduation from a recognized institution of technology or equivalent with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in resource management.
- Experience
- Considerable leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Extensive experience in planning and scheduling.
- Experience in hiring, performance management, organizational development, writing briefing notes, justifications, and strategy documents
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work effectively with others at all levels and frequently in a coordinating role.
- Must be skilled in using these applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Visio).
- Ability to achieve objectives under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to carry out duties with minimum Supervision.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
