Details:Mission and objectives:Promotion of Sustainable Development in Donga Mantung Association was officially recognized by the Government of Cameroon in 2006 under authorization No. 152/E.27/750/BAPP/PS. In 2024, it achieved Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council, focusing on sustainable development, climate change mitigation, and migration assistance.The association is registered as an Extra-Provincial Corporation in Alberta, Canada.PROSDOMA is dedicated to supporting newcomers in Alberta, helping them successfully settle and integrate into Canadian society. We offer assistance with asylum and permanent residency applications, ensuring newcomers have the legal support they need. Additionally, PROSDOMA provides counseling services, job search support, and computer skills training to equip individuals with essential tools for long-term success. We connect newcomers to vital resources such as food banks, shelters, and tax filing assistance, ensuring their basic needs are met as they navigate their new environment. Our mission goes beyond basic support, as we strive to foster social inclusion by encouraging newcomers to actively contribute to their communities, enriching Canada’s diverse fabric. PROSDOMA also focuses on expanding its outreach through social media platforms, raising awareness about available services. By doing so, we ensure that newcomers have access to the support they need to build a stable, fulfilling life in Canada.Context:We need online volunteers who can assist our institution in supporting our social media content and management by helping us produce teaching materials and graphics.The teaching materials inform of research articles will be in line with the objectives of PROSDOMA for our target audience. The teaching materials will highlight information on boosting agricultural activities, fighting climate change, protecting the environment, encouraging biodiversity conservation, fighting illegal exploitation of the forest and encouraging sustainable migration policies.Task type:Art and DesignTask description:We are seeking four online volunteers who can manage our social media accounts. Each volunteer is expected to complete one of the following tasks:– Conduct research on articles that relate to the objectives of ROSDOMA. (Biodiversity conservation, sustainable food production, fighting climate change, promoting sustainable migration policies and boosting agriculture.)
– Design five graphics related to the articles that were researched weekly.
– Write short notes on researched articles and graphic designs for our social media page.
– Post graphics and written articles on our social media account.Requirements:Volunteers with some expertise in Research work and familiarity with Sustainable agriculture, climate change, sustainable migration policies, biodiversity conservation, and food production who are capable of designing graphics and written articles that can educate our audience. These articles will be posted on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and X.Work Hours: 16-20
