Package DescriptionBrand New ServiceROLE: Support WorkerLOCATION: Ferndown BH22 9EUSALARY: £12.60 – £13.30* per hourHOURS: 35 hours a week,About Church RoadChurch Road is a Brand-new service, which will be opening in 2025. At Church Road we provide accommodation and support for up to 8 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries or Neurological Conditions.We will also work closely with people placed on Rehabilitation focused placements supported by Neuro therapists; Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy and Neuro Psychology, to aid people in their recoveries.Our multidisciplinary team will undertake a thorough assessment prior to any admission, working closely with the individual, their family, carers and other health care professionals to identify their goals and aspirations and create an individually tailored support plan.As a Support Worker, you will be involved in the day to day support and routine of the people within the service including:
- Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
- Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
- Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
- Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administrating medication.
- Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
- Assisting with personal care as required.
- Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
- Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
