Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. The committee also plans holiday decorations, charity raffles, and outdoor events, helping create a warm and friendly community.PurposeThe Surface Fuel Attendant ensures all buildings and equipment related to the fuel management are in safe and working order, while supporting, site operations. The position also ensures compliance with all Newmont’s Health & Safety and other relevant policies and regulations.Essential DutiesPreform the following duties with safety being the number one priority:
- Off load all ISO containers and totes into the fuel management systems.
- Following and using the fuel data systems ( Fuel Transfer Sheets )
- Refuel equipment around site from heavy equipment to tidy tanks.
- Maintain the diesel tank farm. Keeping all areas clear of spills and garbage.
- Assist in the propane systems, from data logging to tank moving.
- Snow removal from the tank farm and other support areas.
- Assist in safety inspections at the tank farm and support equipment.
- Site clean up
- Participate in any other site specific training
- Perform other related duties as required
Training & ExperiencePosition requirements include but are not limited to:
- Grade 12 or GED.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Physically fit, able to lift 50lbs
- Able to work 12 hour shifts days or nights
- Able to follow all safe work practices and procedures
- Able to follow direction from supervisors
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Certification in workplace hazardous materials information system (WHMIS)
- TDG – transportation of dangerous goods
- Emergency Spill Response
Working Conditions
- Work at remote location (camp) on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical screening
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift
- Be able maintain high levels of performance over 12 hour shifts
- Able to work in areas of extreme weather conditions
- Able to work in close quarters with the team or on one’s own

This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
