Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position will maintain communication functions for the facility while providing administrative support to the organization. The Switchboard Operator will answer the phone, screen and route calls, provide information, and place outgoing calls as necessary. They will ensure that all callers are dealt with courteously, and will ensure that all visitors have identification, sign in accordingly, and are directed to the appropriate location. The Switchboard Operator will perform related duties, special assignments and projects when requested.
Salary: $17.50+ per hour, commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma preferred.
Experience: Preferably one year experience in a similar position.
Physical Requirements: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting of 20 lbs or more is required. Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens.
