What You Will Be DoingAs a System Safety & Reliability Engineer, you will play a vital role in influencing design by understanding how failures affect system operation. You will analyse designs and ensure they meet appropriate safety and reliability standards.Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating design concepts to identify potential failures, consequences, and hazard mitigation strategies.
- Conducting Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to assess potential failure modes.
- Identifying critical and significant parts and systems through product risk analysis.
- Using mathematical methods to analyze failures.
- Producing Safety Case reports.

- A degree in a STEM subject and relevant engineering experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical and logical approach.
- Familiarity with gas turbine engine design and operation (Advantageous).
- Knowledge of Safety & Reliability engineering techniques (Advantageous).
- Experience in risk assessment methodologies.
