The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme has been established to tackle the significant work that needs to be done to protect and preserve the heritage of the Palace of Westminster and ensure it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century. This is an enormous and unprecedented undertaking, which is expected to be the most complex renovation programme of any single building the UK has ever seen.

The Programme is recruiting a Systems Accountant. This is a new role and will act as a key member of the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance and taking the lead in ensuring that the Delivery Authority’s financial information is accurately recorded, reported and safeguarded.

You will be responsible for enhancing and developing use of the financial system (Oracle) and associated reporting (including PowerBI) within finance and across the organisation through process and functionality improvement, acting as a subject matter expert. Knowledge of project accounting, cost management and fixed asset registers together with advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

Your experience working in a system role in a major infrastructure programme, delivering system changes successfully to ensure maximum benefit is key as is your experience of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, e-Business Suite or equivalent systems.

Salary £60,000 per annum

Security

Successful candidates will be required to complete security vetting to a minimum Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level obtained through the Parliamentary Security Department (PSD). Candidates are required to pass these checks before a start date can be confirmed.

Applicants should also be aware that, depending on the role applied for, if they have resided outside of the UK for a total of more than two of the last five years they may not be eligible for vetting.
