Job Summary As part of the National Estate and Trust Tax Group, Royal Trust, the Tax Administrator provides day-to-day administrative support to the National Tax Team (T3, T1, and T1 Deceased return) and is accountable for accurate data and file management to help prepare and administer a large volume of tax returns. A keen attention to detail and being entirely comfortable with technology and digital filing are vital components of this position.Job DescriptionWhat will you do?

  • Maintain digital tax folders and export key documents
  • Sort and scan Canada Post mail and digital mail
  • Act as a support resource to the Tax group
  • File or e-file tax returns before the deadline
  • Preparation of Excel spreadsheets and Adobe documents
  • Organizes digital data and runs
  • Assist the Tax team with the mailing of client tax documentation
  • Follow-up calls with the CRA and MRQ
  • Follow established standards and procedure

What do you need to succeed?Must Have

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Adobe and comfortable using business applications
  • Ability to organize data, with a keen sense of organization and attention to detail.
  • Resourceful and able to demonstrate strong technical skills to assist with digital documents
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of fundamental data analysis using pivot tables, filters, and rules
  • Previous office administration experience
