Location: Hull

Salary: £28,000 – £43,685 per annum (MPS/UPS)

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Fully Qualified Teacher of English to work within their client Secondary Schools in Hull, starting immediately. As an English Teacher for GSL Education, you will be teaching GCSE pupils a mixture of English Language and English Literature. We are currently looking to take on part time and full time English Teachers for a range of long-term placements.

Your main job role responsibilities will be to:

• Plan and deliver GCSE English lessons.
• Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of your pupils, accounting for SEND students.
• Track pupil progress.
• Liaise with staff members to ensure the best progress for all students.

To be considered for this role you should:

• Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and specialise in teaching English Language and Literature to GCSE standard.
• Have teaching experience which can be referenced from within the last 2 years (placements can be referenced for NQTs or ECTs).
• Be a motivational and innovative teacher, able to engage students of all abilities.
• Have full-time availability or a minimum of 3 days per week.
• Be open to completing additional training if required.
• Hold an enhanced child workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one.
