As a Humanities Teacher, you will have the thrilling opportunity to engage students in the wonders of History, Geography, and related subjects across various key stages. Your role will be pivotal in encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper understanding of the world around us.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Deliver Dynamic Lessons: Craft engaging and interactive lessons in History, Geography, and other humanities subjects that captivate students’ imaginations.
- Cultivate a Curious Classroom: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to participate and explore.
- Personalise Learning: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your students, ensuring everyone has the chance to succeed.
- Monitor and Motivate: Assess student progress regularly and provide insightful, constructive feedback to support their development.
- Innovate the Curriculum: Play a key role in developing the humanities curriculum, integrating relevant resources and innovative teaching methods.
- Collaborate and Share: Work closely with colleagues to exchange best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning across the school.
- Enrich the Experience: Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events, making the educational journey even more enriching for your students.
Requirements:
- A degree in Humanities (History, Geography, or a related field).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across humanities disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
