We have a strong focus on academic excellence, particularly in STEM subjects, and offer a wide range of opportunities for students to explore their passion for mathematics and pursue their aspirations in STEM fields.About the Mathematics Department:The Mathematics department is a dynamic and collaborative team with a shared passion for fostering a love of mathematics in our students. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of mathematical topics, from algebra and geometry to calculus and statistics.About the Role:

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at GCSE and A Level depending on experience and interest.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including interactive whiteboards, technology, and manipulatives, to bring Mathematics to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department’s curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Mathematics curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of Mathematics in students, encouraging them to explore the beauty and power of mathematics in the world around them.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Mathematics education.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, such as Maths clubs and competitions.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent (or is eligible to apply).
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching Mathematics and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Mathematics and relevant examination specifications.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
