SEN Teaching Assistant – Make a Real Difference!Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £11.72 – £12.78 per hour (Actual: £19,370.70 – £21,122.66, depending on experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week – Term Time OnlyAre you passionate about changing young lives? We’re seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting students aged 11-19 with complex needs such as autism, learning disabilities, and communication difficulties. If you’re enthusiastic about making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you!Your Role:

• Support Learning & Development: Collaborate with professionals to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where students can succeed.
• Personalised Assistance: Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with sensory and communication needs.
• Build Strong Relationships: Foster trust with students, ensuring a safe and welcoming learning atmosphere.
• Behaviour Management: Implement creative strategies to encourage positive behaviour, adapting to each student’s unique needs.
• Personal Care: Offer assistance with personal care, ensuring students feel supported and respected.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with SEN students (paid or voluntary).
• A Level 2 or higher qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) – essential.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• A flexible and creative approach to adapt to individual learning needs.
