Teaching Assistant – Grade 4 (Permanent)
Salary: Grade 4 (32.5 Hours)
Greenbank School is a purpose built school for students, age 11 – 18 years, with a range of learning needs: Autism, Social and Communication.
Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with students on the autism spectrum. You must be professional, proactive and highly enthusiastic about a career in education. This will be a demanding, highly rewarding role and the successful candidate will form part of an exceptional team of highly committed and dedicated staff.
The position is available for Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants or similarly qualified staff with transferable skills.
Principle Responsibilities * To provide curriculum and learning support for students, including the collation of evidence of progression.
- Ensure that all students make the best possible progress in all areas of teaching and learning, curriculum, personal, behavioural, social and emotional development employing ASC strategies.
- Support the importance of target setting and pupil data collection.
- To provide support to teachers and other school staff, working directly with students, ensuring that the relevant programmes of professional development is enabled and facilitated to ensure continued improvement and raised standards.
- To ensure all Health and Safety arrangements are effectively implanted, including child protection, all aspects of safeguarding, well-being and student behaviour.
- To make sure supervision is effective at all times including the start and end of the day, break and lunch times and during P.E.
- To work closely with carers, parents and other agencies.
