Job descriptionProspero Teaching are looking to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work with a welcoming primary school in the Chester area. The successful applicant will have confidence in Maths and English and support the teacher throughout the school day.Teaching Assistant
- Location – Chester, CH1
- Start- As soon as possible
- Position – Teaching Assistant
- Full time/part time – Full time
- Pay- Paid to scale
- Hours – 8:30 – 15:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with Lesson Plans: Helping teachers prepare and deliver lesson plans.
- Classroom Setup: Setting up learning materials and equipment.
- Grading: Assisting with grading assignments and exams.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining student records and tracking progress.
- Classroom Management: Helping manage student behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Administrative Tasks: Handling administrative tasks like photocopying and filing.
- Assisting with Technology: Helping students and teachers use technology and digital tools.
- Classroom Clean-Up: Assisting with keeping the classroom tidy and organised.
- Monitoring Attendance: Taking and recording attendance.
- Facilitating Discussions: Leading or facilitating classroom discussions when needed.
- Providing Feedback: Giving students feedback on their work and progress.
Experience, Training and Qualifications
- Previous experience of working with Children.
- Previous experience supporting people with additional needs.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide minimum of two professional references.
