Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant – East London

About the role

The role is for a Teaching Assistant to work between Year 3 to Year 5, providing support and development for a number of pupils in the school that have Special Educational Needs. This varies in needs but mainly consist of Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Down Syndrome. Improving Academic Levels, Motor Skills and cognitive skills are all key.

Hours will be 8.30 – 4pm on Monday to Wednesday and it will be a long term contract until the end of the academic year if successful. Pay will be negotiable depending on experience.

About the school

We are currently recruiting for a Part Time KS2 Teaching Assistant to work at a lovely, welcoming school in East London. The school comes under Newham Borough and have an experienced SENCo in place to support the successful applicant.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Have SEN Related Qualification
  • Have sound knowledge of Autism, MLD’s, Global/Developmental Delay and other Special Educational Needs
  • Be confident leading learning plans with their own initiative
  • Be able to commit long term until the end of the academic year

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • SEN Experience
