1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (SEN Focus)A dedicated primary school is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team, providing personalized assistance to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN). Initially, the position will be through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract with the school following a successful probationary period.Position Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, assisting with academic tasks and helping to adapt learning materials as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that enables the child to develop confidence, independence, and key social skills
- Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and other support personnel to ensure the pupil’s individual needs are met
- Support the overall classroom environment, helping to create a safe and productive space for all students
What We Are Looking For:
- Prior experience working with children, ideally in an educational, childcare, or care setting
- Familiarity with SEN support, including strategies to assist pupils with mild to complex needs, is highly beneficial
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents
- A calm, patient approach, combined with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
