Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) Location: Southwark, London Working Hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Full-Time Start Date: September 2024 Position: Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) Role Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within our school. Key Responsibilities: • Provide tailored support to children with ASD, helping them to engage and succeed in the classroom. • Work closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). • Assist in the development of social and communication skills. • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Support the emotional and behavioural needs of students. • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals. Requirements: • Prior experience supporting children with ASD is essential. • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children’s needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team. • Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
