The School of Education offers well-established, and highly respected, programmes in counselling and trauma informed practice. The School seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic colleague to work in this area.The role holder will contribute to the leading and teaching of the MA Trauma Informed Practice programme and work closely with colleagues across the counselling programmes the School offers. Teaching on the TIP programme includes supporting a group of personal tutees across the year and supervising students to complete their dissertation. The role holder will engage in scholarship of teaching in a range of ways, including innovating and developing curriculum and pedagogy, engaging with key ideas in the field.Applicants must have an understanding of trauma and experience of working with people who have experienced trauma, (e.g. refugees, young people in care). Applicants should have a Master’s degree in Education and/or a relevant (helping) profession (including but not limited to Counselling, Psychotherapy, Mental Health).This role starts in September 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter, and it will be offered on a permanent, part-time (29 hours per week) contract.Interviews to take place 5th August 2024.Informal enquiries may be addressed to Sandra Leigh or Phil Taylor, Directors of Taught Courses – . Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance (maximum of £45585 for RT4 and minimum of £44263 for RT5)
