The School has an excellent record in learning and teaching with several staff being awarded National and University Teaching awards. The School provides pre-registration and post registration, degree, and higher degree courses.The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint two part-time Teaching Associates to deliver clinical skills teaching. The post will support teaching and assessing clinical components and skills within Physiotherapy programmes, as well as developing clinical skills teaching materials. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Skills, Clinical Skill Lead for Physiotherapy, relevant programme and course leads.A mentor will provide support to the successful candidate during the period of induction. The post-holder will be accountable to the Director of Clinical Skills.The successful candidates will be a qualified Physiotherapists and will have clinical experience from within and/or across a broad range of areas including (but not exclusive to) musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurorehabilitation. The successful candidates will be keen to develop their own teaching practice, enjoy the challenge of helping students to learn and apply new knowledge, and wish to gain experience of working in a Higher Education setting. Experiential and formal teacher training in higher education is available. Support for further personal/professional development will be given on a pro rata basis.These are permanent posts based at the Nottingham Centre (QMC) and the David Ross Sports Village.
