Job Description:UE07: £40,247 – £47,874 Pro Rata Per AnnumCollege of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures, Graduate School.Part-Time (28 Hours per Week // 0.8 FTE).Fixed Term Twelve MonthsMSc Film, Exhibition & Curation at the University of Edinburgh are looking for an individual committed to creative teaching and active learning to join the teaching team on our innovative postgraduate programme.The Opportunity:Applications are invited from suitably qualified colleagues for the role of Teaching Fellow in Film, Exhibition & Curation in the Graduate School, School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures. This job is intended to provide and plan teaching and supervision across the Masters programme. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the administration of the subject area, including course organisation.We welcome applications for this post from all qualified candidates and particularly welcome applications from members of minority ethnic groups, who are currently under-represented in the School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures.Please note that while the School of Literatures, Languages & Cultures operates with a hybrid working model, teaching is delivered in person and on campus.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • PhD in Film or relevant area at the time of application (completed or close to completion) OR the professional equivalent of PhD study from the fields of film exhibition or curation.
  • Relevant teaching experience in film.
  • Experience in teaching and marking in film or the moving image.
  • Evidence of fluency and proficiency in English.
  • A commitment to high-quality teaching and learning including the capacity to create teaching materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
