Applicants are invited to join a team undertaking a range of administration tasks within Patient Access.The post holder will be required to have 1st Line Management experience, including appraisal and sickness absence monitoring.They will be required to take part in recruitment processes.Knowledge of patient record systems/data bases with proven experience, plus previous admin/clerical experience. Ideally you will have a knowledge of the 18 week Referral to Treatment pathway.Applicants should ideally have experience of healthcare services.Well-developed Interpersonal skills – able to converse in a positive manner at all levels. Be dependable with a flexible attitude to work and able to work on your own initiative. You must possess strong organisational skills, be able to deliver objectives within an agreed timeframe, excellent people and communication skills to maintain effective communication links, and have a flexible approach to the evolving needs of the service. It is essential that you possess excellent keyboard skills and experience of administering data bases.Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be responsible for providing high quality administrative services for Outpatients.
- They will be responsible for the management of the Outpatient clinic schedules and and daily management of booking clerks, including appraisal, training, sickness absence monitoring and recruitment and retention.
- The post holder will be expected to manage their own work load. This will include Electronic booking, ensuring appropriate is action where necessary to ensure patients can access treatment within the defined timescales.
- Able to confidently liaise with Service Managers cross site.
- Working with specified teams monitor, support and review patient pathways in line with 18 Week Delivery Programme.
- To deal with complaints, collate statistics and provide performance reports, using appropriate computer programmes to achieve this.
- The successful candidate will have proven experience of first line management of staff and be able to work without supervision.
- Work using their initiative and be confident in deputising for the Outpatient Support Manager where appropriate.
