Job description

Are you an experienced administrator with project management and line manager experience who enjoys working collaboratively? We have an exciting opportunity at the University of Sheffield as we are seeking a dedicated individual to lead the professional services team for the newly launched Pharmacy (MPharm) programme. This is a new position within the School.In this diverse and fast-paced role, you will oversee various administrative processes throughout the student lifecycle, from initial enquiry, through the programme -including placements and assessments-and to completion.As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and leading a team of administrative staff, ensuring efficient service delivery and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Support the Head of Pharmacy and team members with the development of strategies and policies for the MPharm programme.
  • Developing and maintaining robust administrative systems and processes to support the smooth running of the MPharm programme.
  • Providing guidance and support to students throughout their journey, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaborating with external partners, including organisations providing placements, to ensure adherence to regulations and improve the overall student experience.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of the School’s administrative policies and procedures.

To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a higher education setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with different individuals involved.
  • Highly organised and skilled at managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent IT skills including Google applications
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
