- Lead and motivate a small team through a practical and hands on approach
- Set priorities to maximise production efficiency and promote working practices that develops a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and open communication
- Identify and suggest improvements to the manufacturing and quality process to ensure agreed cost efficient production schedules
- Assist with the installation of new plant equipment
- Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve efficiencies
- Carry out factory inspections, giving advice and support to production operatives and other personnel
- Monitoring quality from raw material to finished goods
- Ensure all new starters are efficiently inducted and trained
Hours of Work: 7.00am till 4.30pm, Monday – FridayAbout You
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a safety-first culture is essential
- At least a year’s leadership experience in a Team Leader / Supervisor role or similar
- Experience of working in a high production environment, primarily in the automotive, food or FMCG related industries
- Good exposure to health & safety standards, continuous improvement methods and environmental best practice
- IT skills – working knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook
- Strong organisational & planning abilities
