Overview:Change Grow Live is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Team Leader within our West Sussex Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Network (DAWN) service.Change Grow Live are a charity dedicated to the belief that we can make a difference to our Service Users lives, offering support and respect in a safe environment, treating each person as an individual and working with them to find the right treatment and care options.Our core values are ‘Be open, be compassionate and be bold’ and our team members apply these daily to achieve our mission of helping people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential.In this role, you will lead a dedicated countywide Psychosocial Interventions (PSI) team, who deliver tailored groupwork and support to individuals facing substance use challenges, enabling them to improve their life opportunities.This role requires strong multi-agency collaboration, so the willingness and ability to work with others is key.The role will have a base in one of our hubs (tbc – we have space in Chichester, Crawley, Worthing and Bognor) and will be required to work across West Sussex. The ability to travel and work flexibly are essential.Where: West Sussex wideFull Time Hours: 37.5 per weekFull time Salary Range: £34,700.09 – £36,635.37 Dependent on experience, pro rata for part time hours Responsibilities:About the role:
- To work as part of an Operational Leadership Team, working together towards shared goals and outcomes for our service and service users.
- To provide direct line management and supervision to a team of PSI Workers, Volunteers and Students based across West Sussex.
- Inspire, empower and motivate team members to ensure an engaged and unified learning culture
- Identify learning and development needs of team members and to support them in achieving their learning requirements
- Support the work of the Community Engagement Lead in linking with local communities and lived experience groups
- To take a lead on performance management, utilising tools such as observed practice and implementing effective support and action plans where improvement needs are identified
- Research, design and prepare subject matter and materials for groups/pods
- As necessary cover delivery of structured content within group settings to service users at various stages of recovery
About you:
- Have a strong understanding of substance use issues and experience of working within this or a related field
- Proven leadership and line management experience, with the ability to empower and motivate a team
- Possess in-depth knowledge of psychosocial interventions and demonstrable experience in their successful delivery
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
- Be organised and able to plan, to support the creation of timetables and structure, providing equity of service across the county
- Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
