Built on trust, reliability, and care, Linaker is a key component of our clients’ architecture and functions as an extension of their business.As we continue our growth into 2025, we’re expanding our Technical and Health & Safety team to further support our engineering and facilities operations, with the addition of a Technical and Health & Safety Administrator on an initial 6 month fixed term basis.About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing key administrative processes related to tools issuance, calibration, personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniform distribution, and training matrix updates. This role is vital to ensuring our team has the necessary resources and training to perform effectively and safelyKey ResponsibilitiesTools Management

  • Oversee the issuance and return of tool to engineering and management teams
  • Maintain accurate records of tool inventory, usage and maintenance schedules including ensuring all tools are QR coded
  • Coordinate tool calibration processes to ensure compliance with industry standards

PPE and Uniform Management

  • Manage the distribution and tracking of PPE and uniforms for employees
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding PPE usage
  • Conduct regular audits of PPE and uniform inventory

Training Coordination

  • Update and maintain the training matrix, ensuring all team members are current and up to date with required ceritifications
  • Collate information on team training completion and follow up on outstanding requirements
  • Assist in scheduling training sessions and maintaining training records
  • Toolbox talks scheduling and monitoring
  • Updating accreditation portals

Data Management

  • Compile and analyse data related to tool usage, calibration status, PPE distribution and training compliance
  • Prepare regular reports for management review, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement

Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering and facilities teams to understand their needs and provide administrative support
  • Liaise with external vendors for tool calibration and PPE supplies as needed

What We Seek in a Candidate

  • Previous experience in a technical administrative role, ideally within an engineering or facilities management environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with database management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Package

  • Competitive starting salary of £26.000 – £28,000 plus annual reviews
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata for duration of the contract)
