We offer courses and carry out research, enterprise and knowledge transfer across a diverse field, in areas ranging from computing to engineering, maritime studies, civil engineering, built environment, product design and mathematics.We are now looking to recruit a talented technician to support our academics and students within the laboratory ensuring equipment and materials are prepared for teaching and research. You will work within a team of technicians and therefore a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, along with effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills are essential.Working within the Civil Engineering and Built Environment laboratories it would be advantageous but not essential if you can demonstrate a working knowledge in one or more of the areas below, full training will be given to the successful candidate.

  • Fine and coarse aggregates
  • Cement and its preparation
  • Additives
