Job Description Summary You will be accountable as the technical sales specialist for the South West region, responsible for a range of flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and services across the BD portfolio. This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new role as part of a strong team in a world-class organization with an industry-leading brand. The role offers varied and interesting responsibilities, combining sales of capital equipment and reagents for customers across a range of academic and industry specialties in your territory.   • To ensure the growth targets for the BDB business are met on their territory within the BD product ranges through direct negotiation, sales activities, attendance at exhibitions, organisation of on site meetings/demonstrations and technical support.
  • Be knowledgeable across the academic, industry and clinical customers in terms of applications of flow cytometry, market dynamics and procurement practices.
  • To participate in sales meetings, providing up to date and accurate information about the sales territory.
  • This sales territory is a regional role within your selected territory.
  • This role is a hybrid of field and work from home.

About you

  • BSc/MSc or equivalent in a Life Science field or a related subject and/or several years of laboratory experience.
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • High level of commercial awareness within the UK healthcare sector.
  • Ability to manage complexity and multiple priorities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Demonstrates trust, integrity, and ethics both within and outside the company.
  • Self-motivated with personal drive and ambition, fostering innovation and focusing on customer delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid and current driving licence.
