We have a new exciting opportunity for a Technical Service Owner to be part of a unique team managing operationally critical solutions in a very fast paced and fun environment with exposure to all aspects of the business, IT services and technologies. This is a permanent role based in Luton. (Hybrid Working)The Airline Operations Systems team manage, support and oversee change for a range of critical services used to run the airline. Our team is split into two areas: Safety, Security and Compliance (SS&C) and Engineering. We work in close partnership with the various suppliers and business teams across Europe.What you’ll be doing
- To design and configure new or existing applications to support the needs of the business and to provide 3rd line application support for complex issues.
- Support project managers in development of new and/or improved business solutions to systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose and supportable, in-line with the business requirement specifications and project plans. Act as the Technical SME for the business application.
- The role is responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing technical system solutions that are “fit for business purpose”
- Conduct root cause analysis on any defects raised through the build of new configuration and support resolution.
- Provide 3rd line systems support for assigned systems. Coordinate support activity across the team to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues assigned to the team
- Identify any access or data amendment breaches or any breach of easyJet policies and ensure these are reported and remedial actions to resolve/close taken.
- Translate complex business interactions into rigorous technical analysis and technical system solutions by working with systems vendors, escalating issues as appropriate and ensuring alignment between the suppliers and the strategic direction of systems in easyJet.
- Maintain a repository of knowledge around the assigned systems, both for IT colleagues and materials for the business, including training collateral. Specifically, all relevant IT processes, checklists, designs and other relevant knowledge is comprehensive, and is maintained up-to-date.
- Support the maintenance of the Technology roadmap ensuring upgrades are scoped and implemented with no unexpected business impact. Ensuring this is in line with the company change and release management processes.
QualificationsWhat you’ll bring to the team
- 2+ years’ experience of design, build, test and delivery of system developments and reporting (product lifecycle)
- Knowledge of business processes and terminology
- Supplier management skills – gravitas to engage senior stakeholders
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- 2+ years relevant experience in system administration tasks
- Experience of test execution in a Business Systems environment
- Experienced in implementing updates/upgrades on business systems
- Experienced in Change Management processes
- Ability to translate complex business interactions into rigorous technical analysis
- Experience of using Confluence and Jira
- Experience of business solutions used within Core Airline Systems (TOPS, AIMS, DISCO,
- HATS, SafetyNet, EFOS, Roster/Pairings Optimisation)
