Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat Is the Opportunity?The Midrange System Support team is looking for a candidate with the drive to work on new technology within the HPE NonStop midrange platform and manage multiple projects. Projects range from Hardware refresh and Third-Party software upgrade, focus on Continuous improvement to the business by providing Client Focused Solutions.What Will You Do?Recommends solutions that maintain a high level of availability and safety and soundness.Scopes out work effort and builds timelines to meet the business SLA deliverables.Drive technical requirements through vendor and business community to meet RBC’s client and business needs.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners through open and effective communication.Participates/Leads in meetings to resolve problems or to track major project status.Establish strong working relationships across business units to build influence and impact with key business partners.Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.Identifies Single Points of Failures and proposes solutions.Define problem, provide alternatives and recommends actions.Build changes that are well understood.

– Test Plans and Post Implementation procedures are well documented.
– Works with business teams to minimize client impact.What Do You Need To Succeed?Must haves:Strong experience in supporting and maintaining a HPE NonStop environment, and ability to upgrade on an annual basis.Experience in installing, maintaining, and supporting 3rd party software.Comfortable working in a team environment that requires 24/7 hours rotational shifts.Investigates improvement processes and automate manual processes wherever possible.Ensures ongoing examination of the DRP and Day to Day processes to ensure the most effective procedures and methodologies are being deployed.Drive infrastructure optimization technologies to ensure a cost-effective infrastructure.Provides metrics reporting on the system and application health.Reviews vendor Hardware and Software Configurations to ensure completeness.Review Problem Resolution opportunities to avoid future re-occurrences (early monitoring, automatic paging, etc…)Nice-to-have:Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly traded corporationAbility to facilitate between and influence key decision makers.Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses.Maintains systems within compliancy requirements.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
