Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?We are looking for a Senior Technical Analyst to join our RTB (run the bank) team, helping support our new Investor Services EDM (enterprise data management) platform. This new platform is being established in Toronto as we migrate existing operations and platforms from Luxembourg. You will be an integral part of the team helping ensure platform availability and stability for a critical application that will be leveraged by the middle office, custody and fund accounting operations. Our new data management platform is a cloud based SaaS product which will provide Investor services applications and our clients with market securities and pricing data.What will you do?Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder teams including – business teams, technology and application support teams, peers and the vendorDevelop long term trusted relationships with the vendor and stakeholder teams noted aboveHelp investigate and resolve production incidentsEnsure Incidents are managed within established response and resolution timesEnsure incidents, changes and service requests are tracked via Service NowCreate and review monitoring alerts for early issue detectionResponsible for helping with planning, documentation, and execution of the annual DR exercise in conjunction with the vendorParticipate in release management (deployment activities) for both production and DR environmentsPerform Technical PIV (Post implementation verification) tasks following deployment activitiesEnsure stakeholders and clients understand their issue is seen and being worked onEnsure communications and updates are shared with impacted stakeholder teamsEnsure root cause details are captured and sharedEnsure problem management activities are created and implemented24hr support coverage (rotational)Lead and manages risk Items (findings/crypto requirements/SRMA, ACA)Lead and manages app custodian activitiesAudit reviews and requests (Internal/ External)What do you need to succeed?Must have:Experience in a production support environmentGood working knowledge of ServiceNow for incidents, change management and service requestsIs able to work both independently and collaborativelyIs quality focusedHas strong problem solving skillsIs results orientedHas a strong sense of urgencyIs an articulate communicatorIs able to present complex items in simple termsIs able to work under pressure and think clearlyHas strong time management and prioritization skillsIs able to adapt (pivot) and react to changes easilyIs a self starter with a strong desire to learnUnderstanding of:Monitoring tools (Catchpoint, Dynatrace, PagerDuty, Splunk)Data and file transfer methodologies i.e. SFTP, MFTAPI’s, web services and data queriesNetworking, cyber security and firewall standardsUnix/Linux and bash scriptingStone branch (application)IBM MQ and IBM WebshereDEVOPS tools (UCD, GitHub, Inner Source)SQL/Oracle/PLNice-to-have:A balance of both functional expertise and technical capabilitiesWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
