IntelliSense.io has a rare opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Leader to join the team as the Technology Delivery Director. You will play a pivotal role in driving and orchestrating the seamless end-to-end delivery of our cutting-edge scientific AI solutions.

You will be part of the technology leadership team reporting to the CEO with accountability of execution to schedule and quality. You will lead execution through technology managers and a team of highly skilled software engineers and data scientists who are part of our multidisciplinary cross-functional product teams. This execution is undertaken through monthly product release cycles for our bi-annual major product release, implementation of the baseline product at customer sites, and continuous updates & upgrades to maintain live sites under subscription. This leadership position demands a strategic mindset, robust leadership skills, experience in customer-facing solution delivery, and a deep understanding of data-driven software development processes.

What you are accountable for

Delivery to schedule and quality of the technology components in products for regular product releases (monthly), supporting product implementations at customer sites, and maintaining live products at customer sites in line with their North Star Metrics (NSM).

Technology team development including performance management, career paths, training, and team expansions / contractions.

Efficiency and Effectiveness of the technology teams working practices including development processes, quality frameworks, knowledge share, and team development within each product team

Who will be your direct reports

Technology Managers managing the delivery of the product portfolio

Technology Team leads with ownership of delivery to schedule and quality of individual products

What you are responsible for

Your responsibilities will be segmented across the following areas:

Technical Delivery

Responsible & accountable for execution to schedule (monthly releases and product implementations) and reliability (in live sites) for all products

Work with Product Operations (QA and release management) to ensure Quality Control is applied throughout the code and release process

Work with Mining Technology Operations to ensure live products in customer sites are meeting their north star metrics (NSM’s) with appropriate support & maintenance processes in place for each product team

Ensure documentation, quality control, and adherence to development processes are maintained within the technology teams for each of our products

Team Development

Lead the Technology team development at all levels including hiring, training, compensation, and defining clear escalation paths for both technical and non-technical issues

Develop career paths for team members at all levels (in conjunction with the Technology Directors)

Develop a mentoring program to develop each team member at all levels (in conjunction with People Operations and Technology Directors)

Customer Facing Processes

Engage with key technology stakeholders on the client side to build strong delivery relationships and ensure successful delivery throughout the project implementation and post-live.

Support Technical Project Managers on customer implementations of the products and build processes, workflows, and templates to ease friction between in-house technology teams and client teams.

Help clients envision the long-term value and strategic impact of our products including technology upgrades at the customer end.

Technology Function Processes

Create, Maintain, and Improve the software development, implementation, and support processes that enable product delivery, implementation, and continuous subscription with reduced friction.

Ensure internal team processes for escalation, documentation, and decision making are robust and use standards, tools, and industry-leading practices.

Regularly work with Product Management to track, analyse, and monitor the performance of our technology platform in Customer environments through SLA’s, Product NSM’s and other non-functional metrics.

As a part of the Company’s senior management team, you will be expected to collaborate with the C Suite, regional directors, and board members (occasionally).

About you

The ideal candidate for the role of Technology Delivery Director should possess a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, strategic thinking, and effective communication abilities. The person would have previous experience in managing large technical teams of cross-functional disciplines.

Technology Delivery Experience

Extensive experience in managing engineering and data science teams, software development, and delivery, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex products and projects.

Previous leadership experience in a senior management role, such as Director of Software Development, Head of Engineering, or similar managing large delivery teams.

Technical Proficiency

Strong technical background and understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Familiarity with a variety of programming languages, development frameworks, and technologies relevant to our tech stack.

Hands-on technical experience to be able to lead both technically and process-wise.

Customer Facing Experience

Strong stakeholder management experience of client business and technical champions.

Experience in building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction, and exploring opportunities for additional collaboration.

Consistently ensure the technology team in each product team is meeting their targets in terms of Product NSM, Product implementations, and Zero attrition of customers in subscription.
