Technology Program Manager – Prime Services Technology (Manchester) – AVPInitially, this role will be remote, but will switch to Hybrid working once the new office is Open (city-centre). The Core Program Manager role is responsible for managing technology new product rollouts/upgrades/improvements by coordinating with a diverse group of global teams such as business and internal technology/operations teams, to build-out and maintain our next generation Prime Services platforms.Role Overview/What will you do:The Program Manager contributes to standards around which others will operate and is accountable for the end-to-end results of an area: Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs
- Executive reporting on project statuses and roadmaps for technology and business partners and sponsors
- Drive multiple projects simultaneously requiring the ability to multi-task
- Understanding Business priorities and working as a liaison between Business and Development teams
- Track/monitor day-day project status changes and prioritization changes
- Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the subfunction as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness
- Manage expectations and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices while ensuring essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards
- Install a culture of continuous process improvements by applying lessons learned from recent projects to future projects
Key Skills and Experience required:
- Extensive experience with significant exposure to structured project management techniques and familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
- Expertise on Microsoft Project, Visio, PowerPoint presentation, Confluence, JIRA
- Strong listening, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills to influence a wide range of audiences and gain consensus among staff/colleagues
- Superior planning, organization, project management and analytical skills as well as attention to detail
- Ability to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment
- Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause and cost-benefit analysis
- Excellent time management, follow-through, and project delivery skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task, follow-through and manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and partner across a complex organization
- Proactive and self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running
Nice to have skills/experience:
- Experience in Futures and OTC Clearing product
- Experience in Prime Finance
