How can you make a difference?

The ICT Associate will ensure that timely and efficient solutions are provided to queries worldwide in the field of IT Infrastructure and services (access management, Office 365, SAP etc). The candidate will manage incidents, facilitate communication between users, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and the IT Management for the use of the Business Innovation and Support Section (BIS).

The anticipated end date of this temporary appointment is 31 December 2024 with possibility of extension subject to availability of funds.

Key functions, accountabilities, and related tasks:

1. Access Management support

2. SAP system and GRC tool administration

3. Escalation, performance monitoring and reporting

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of Secondary education is required, supplemented with any relevant formal education (Human Resources, Finance, ICT, Business administration, International relations, Communication)
  • ITIL Foundation Certificate or equivalent customer support certification is an asset.
  • A minimum of six years of practical work experience in the relevant field, requiring systematic methods of troubleshooting and problem solving is required. Completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards 4 years of the minimum work experience requirements. 
  • Experience in assisting users on IT/ Business products and services, use of applications is required.
  • Ability to understand data and effectively use office technology systems for its input and extraction is required.
  • Ability to handle work quickly and accurately under time constraints is required.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Visio) is required. Knowledge of UNICEF’s ERP system (SAP/Vision) and Ticketing system (ServiceNow) is desirable.
  • Knowledge of UN/UNICEF’S rules, regulations and procedures and work experience in a Shared Services Centre are considered as assets.
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish), or local language of the duty station, is considered an asset.

General Service (GS) staff are locally recruited staff and therefore, candidates are personally responsible for any travel and accommodation arrangements. UNICEF does not facilitate MFA accreditation for locally recruited staff.

UNICEF appointments are subject to medical clearance.
