Hours: 36 per weekThe City of Edinburgh Council has declared a Housing Emergency and wants to ensure everyone has a secure, safe, warm place to call home, with access to services and a culture that supports individuals and communities to thrive.Following a review of our delivery structure we have an exciting career development opportunity for Tenant Liaison Officer within the High-Rise Investment team.We are looking for an individual who will support the delivery of a high-quality, front-line service to residents. You will lead from the front to drive performance and embed a customer focused culture within the service which has the needs of our tenants at its heart.You will work in and around the city supporting the delivery of an extensive improvement programme across the Council’s entire high-rise blocks working with tenants, contractors, and colleagues in Housing Locality teams to deliver a range of upgrade programmes to provide warm, energy efficient and reduced fuel cost homes whilst meeting statutory Government targets and our own net zero carbon commitments.You will be responsible for:

  • Engage and support tenants and homeowners during the delivery of the programmes.
  • Carry out consultation with the local communities and key stakeholders to gain their support for the Council’s improvement programmes.
  • Ensure the needs of individual, vulnerable tenants are identified and liaise with the appropriate services to identify workable solutions for everyone.
