About the Role
Barco is seeking a dynamic Senior Sales and Business Development Manager to lead and grow our market presence in the UK & Ireland cinema industry. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with a passion for technology, a deep understanding of the cinema industry, and proven experience in territory sales and business development. You will play a crucial role in building relationships with Barco Cinema Partners, key accounts, and end-users (cinemas), influencing market trends and maximizing opportunities.Key Responsibilities
- Market Development & Relationship Building: Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with Barco Cinema Partners and direct key accounts, positioning Barco as a leader and trusted advisor in the cinema industry.
- Strategic Sales Management: Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the UK & Ireland region, driving the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead identification to negotiating and closing deals.
- Quote & Proposal Management: Handle the creation of quotes, manage CRM sales cycles, and develop and negotiate proposals and commercial agreements.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Provide regular insights to Sales Management and product teams, offering competitive analysis and forecasting to keep Barco at the forefront of the market.
- Collaboration & Cross-functional Work: Partner closely with Product Management, Strategic Marketing, and Technical Experts to translate customer needs into winning Barco solutions and stay agile in a multi-project international environment.
- Partner Support & Activation: Identify and onboard new partners, ensuring they are aligned with Barco’s goals. Support existing resellers and drive success through technical and sales expertise.
- Brand Representation & Lead Generation: Represent Barco Cinema at industry events and product demonstrations, ensuring positive brand exposure and strengthening our market position.
- Customer Needs Analysis: Assess customer needs to present value-driven solutions, identify and address potential barriers, and work with product teams to overcome these challenges.
Main Accountabilities
- Achieve Sales Targets: Meet both personal and divisional sales targets for Barco products.
- Partner Onboarding & Support: Define and onboard new partners, devise business plans with performance targets, and review performance through quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Lead Generation & Distribution: Drive lead generation through industry events and manage the process of distributing leads to partners.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed of technology and market trends, providing valuable intelligence to the Sales and Marketing teams.
Required Competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in sales or business development within the cinema industry.
- Communication & Relationship Building: Strong communication and presentation skills, with an ability to build credibility with clients and colleagues alike.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Skilled in working across different roles and borders, with a proactive, supportive approach to team projects.
- Sales Expertise & Results Orientation: Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, close deals, and exceed sales targets. Excellent negotiation skills and a drive for results are essential.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Skilled in identifying customer needs and translating these into tailored Barco solutions that drive mutual success.
