Position SummaryMagellan Aerospace, Greyabbey has an exciting opportunity for a Tool Setter.
- Full Time Permanent Contract
- 38 hours per week, day shift.
- Job location: Greyabbey, BT22 2QE

Essential Responsibilities
- Assembling the cutting tools with holders, Balancing the tool assembly, check the dimensions once the assembly is complete
- Running of the tool pre setter machine, management of tool crib area and tooling cabinets
- Interface with Production team to get the tools built up in timely manner and as per the requirements defined by the Engineer
- Participates in company engineering development projects
- Provides support and assistance to any new part introduction by building up the required tooling in advance and report to the Engineer if any issues found while building the tool assemblies
- Communicating with Engineering if any issues found while building the tools and getting the documents amended for any errors
- Manage tool regrinding data to reduce tooling cost/spend in line with budget assumptions
- Work with Engineering to standardise tooling across the site
- Any other reasonable duties as requested by management
Position RequirementsAcademic:
- Good General Education
- Time Served Apprenticeship or 3 years CNC Machining shop-floor experience
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Knowledge of multi-discipline Engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering practices, processes and procedures
- An understanding of aerospace materials and standard hardware
- Previous experience of different tooling types and uses
- Good knowledge of CNC Machining
- Awareness of CNC Machines and controls
- Tooling and Fixturing knowledge
- Experience of working to budgets
