What will you be doing!

Communicating/performing complex analyses/presents on information/ data to clarify/interpret/ consult on/resolve client issues, with considerable impact. Recommending solutions/approaches to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise training by driving delivery of new and updated training through technology enablement and focus on optimized employee experience of the Learning Management System.
Maintain operational health of the LMS by ensuring protocols for ongoing system governance, security role access and standard operating instructions are developed and updated to clearly communicate roles
Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure consistent operations and governance of the system to produce comprehensive and auditable training programs.
Define test plans and guide your team in testing on different platforms and browsers as part of new version release checklists and coordinate readiness reporting and communications to various system users.
Providing management oversight over a small group of employees working to deliver results in line with
the team’s/department’s goals. Provide direct leadership over a team of global system administrators who specialize in system health, content administration & analytics management.
Oversee Global System Administrators to identified performance gaps, while providing a positive learning experience for trainees.Interview and hire Training and Development Employees.
Conduct performance reviews and objectives setting with Training and Development Personnel.Establishes strong working relationships with external contacts to respond to highly complex and highly specialized inquiries/ issues. Manage short term project staff, vendors, business partners, subject matter experts, stakeholders, training consultants and training coordinators.
Identifying and aligning common interests, building trust and strengthening interpersonal connections across the organization to support the ongoing development, optimization and support of the Learning Management System.
Oversee Training Coordination LMS system issues and escalation process by evaluating support ticket trends from Service CNL and prioritizing and deploying resources to respond and support.
Manage resources for assigned LMS development projects, which may include contract staff or partnering with external consultants and/or outside service vendors around the delivery of specialized technical training.

Identifies and authoritatively recommends improvements to highly complex processes/ smaller scale procedures that affect own area and others/ clients. Manages the development, implementation and evaluation of complex work processes, utilizing innovative approaches

Capture learning use cases, collect and prioritize business requirements, and strategically plan the development, implementation and roll-out of new or improved LMS platform capabilities.

  • Responsibility:

Conduct self-assessments, in accordance with CNL self-assessment procedures, for the purpose of assisting clients in analyzing and identifying performance improvement opportunities.

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of five (5) years to experience in Project Management

Five (5) years required experience working with an organizational Learning and Development team where all aspects of training including instructional design, conducting needs analysis, identifying gaps and proposing recommendations for development solutions activities were performed
Three (3) years required experience with:
Learning Management Systems Administration; Solution design and business analysis in Employee Learning and Development * Two (2) years of experience with Change Management & Communications is preferred

Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred
Experience working on an LMS implementation or migration project is preferred
Experience working in a nuclear field or an environment with high levels of external regulation (e.g. CNSC, TSSA, CSA, ISO, etc.) is preferred
Experience working with Saba, SBX Cornerstone, Oracle, Microsoft Azure, Scorm Computer Based Training Packages, Camtasia, Adobe Photo and Video Editors, SnagIT, Microsoft Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Data Management Softwares
Proven ability to build, train, mentor, coach and develop a new team or department in an organization * Highly motivated by challenges to remediate technical, operational, organizational, governance and relationship challenges by leveraging technology to improve and automate processes with the intent to gain efficiencies and user confidence in the application

Weigh competing client administration requests and make final system configuration decisions with a holistic system health mindset
Proven ability to lead a team in architecting and operating a LMS to ensure training record and content management changes are always trackable and available upon request for internal or regulatory audits
Capable of breaking complex business problems into solvable issues and leading a team to execute
Advanced understanding of Learning Management Systems operations, administration, architecture, rapid data imports, governance, security, automated HR integrations, workflows, change management best practices and self-serve reporting analytics administration
Proven ability to manage project scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risks and communication plans
Communicate clearly with a strong executive presence
Excellent judgement and communication skills (oral and written)
Initiative and judgement to organize and optimize flow of work and accuracy of records
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage time and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to maintain successful working relations at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders & vendors
Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Security clearance eligibility required: Level 2 Secret which has a minimum requirement of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security”.

Location:

CNL works with employees across Canada to enable a remote workforce where possible. Our Work from Home employees are provided with the equipment required to be successful: laptop, monitor, external etc. Of course, we always love a visit to site when possible!
