Year 7 Transition TeacherAylesbury (Buckinghamshire)September 2025 start£29,344 – £44,919 per annumAs a Year 7 Transition Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth transition of students from primary to secondary school. Working closely with students, parents and colleagues, you will create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports both academic and personal development.The school, located in Aylesbury, is committed to helping students achieve their academic targets. With a ‘Good’ rating, the school continuously strives for improvement, evident in its culture.Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of Year 7 students
• Provide pastoral care and support to aid students in adapting to the challenges of secondary school life
• Collaborate with primary and secondary school staff to ensure a seamless transition process
• Monitor student progress and implement interventions when necessary to support their academic and socio-emotional growth
• Organise transition events and activities to familiarise students with their new school environment

Requirements:

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
• Prior experience working with Year 7 students or in a transition role is desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
• A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
