With a strong commitment to excellence, we are expanding our team to include a dedicated Sales Executive focused on identifying and pursuing government business opportunities.Position Overview: The Sales Executive – Government Business will be responsible for driving the acquisition of government contracts and securing new business within the public sector. This role requires a strategic approach to business development, leveraging existing relationships and identifying new opportunities within government agencies, contractors, and organizations that require freight forwarding and logistics services.Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within government or non-government agencies doing government business
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers, procurement teams, and stakeholders.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, government procurement processes, and new projects that may require freight forwarding services.
- Negotiations: Conduct negotiations with government agencies and contractors to secure favorable terms for both the company and the client.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to target government contracts and ensure growth in this sector.
- Sales Reporting & Metrics: Track sales performance, provide regular updates, and report on key metrics such as lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the internal operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of contracts and excellent customer service.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant government regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales or business development within the freight forwarding/ logistics industry.
- Experience in working with freight forwarding and logistics
- Proven track record of sales, government contracts or working with public sector/NGO clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales tools.
