We are looking for an exceptionally talented and experienced Transportation Supervisor, Operations Support to join the ROCKWOOL North America Transportation team at our North American head office in Milton, ON (100% Onsite).Job Purpose & ScopeJoin ROCKWOOL as a key member of our Transportation Team!You will be responsible for managing our Transportation Invoicing and Subcontracting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and brokerages. At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.Join us and make a difference!Your future team:You will become part of the ROCKWOOL North America Transportation team and will be reporting to the Transportation Manager with two direct reports.What you will be doing:

  • Oversee processes for compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Receive, verify, and process invoicing for outbound shipments and international brokerage.
  • Track and report carrier lane rates, accessorial charges, fuel surcharges, other charges and propose opportunities for optimizations
  • Manage subcontracting of ROCKWOOL material production by third parties.
  • Own relationships with subcontractors and brokerages.
  • Achieve KPIs for on-time invoice payments, subcontract inventory control, and non-compliance reports.
  • Work closely with ROCKWOOL Customer Service, Planning, Finance, Traffic, Deployment, Warehousing, and third-party subcontractors and brokerages.
  • Leverage relationships within the ROCKWOOL Group network to gain insights, best practices, and collaborate when appropriate

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, engineering, or a related field. A Master’s in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Over 5 years in logistics or supply chain roles, with experience working with third-party subcontractors, relationship-building with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of US and Canadian customs and brokerage processes.
  • Proficiency in supply chain business systems, preferably SAP.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Presentation skills are an asset. Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving and independent action-taking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar project management credentials are an asset.
  • Ability to travel within the USA and Canada.
