Zinc works with a broad range of governmental, NGO, and private sector clients, including the UK Home Office (HO); the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO); the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); the U.S. Department of State (DOS); UN agencies and missions; and foundations.Outline of the jobAs the Treasury Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing our organisation’s financial resources and ensuring the efficient use of funds. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with the Barclays platform and demonstrate proficiency in utilising its features for cash management, investments, and overall financial strategy.The Treasurer will be based in the UK and expected to be in our London office at least two days per week.What you’ll be doingCash Management:– Responsible for processing the weekly supplier payment runs in multiple currencies as well as Grants, Salaries, Contractor and Freelancer payments.– Timely reconciliations of all accounts within the Group banking facility along with 13-week cash flow forecasting.– Oversee daily cash flow management, ensuring liquidity needs are met and excess funds are appropriately invested across the UK entity and its subsidiaries.– Work closely with all members of the Finance team to ensure deadlines are met and all queries are resolved efficiently.Banking Relationship Management:– Maintain strong relationships with Barclays representatives to stay informed about platform updates, enhancements, and industry trends.– Collaborate with banking partners to negotiate terms, fees, and services to optimise financial operations.Risk Management:– Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential exposures.– Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices related to financial risk management.– Represent Zinc at high-level meetings with clients and project partners, All while embodying the values of Zinc NetworkRequirementsWhat we need from you:– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.– Proven experience as a Treasurer or similar financial role.– In-depth knowledge of the Barclays platform and demonstrated proficiency in using its features.– Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.– Strong attention to detail.– Experience working in multiple currencies.– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.– Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Area of SelectionWe’re committed to hiring a diverse workforce from different professional and cultural backgrounds, and to that end we encourage a variety of people to apply to join our company to represent the diverse range of subjects associated with our projects.Conditions of EmploymentCandidates who receive a job offer will be required to:– Disclose any previous disciplinary action against them resulting from a substantiated safeguarding (including any breaches involving trafficking- related activities) or workplace investigation.– Undergo background checks including employment verification, sexual offender registry (as available), identity confirmation, and anti-terrorism vetting.How to applyPlease include a cover letter stating how you meet each of the requirements.If you require an accommodation to be made at any point throughout the recruitment process, please advise us when contacted.BenefitsSalary: Up to £50,000 per annum dependant on experience
