This firm has an excellent culture and many career development opportunities.– Boutique law firm with expertise in various litigation matters.– Recognized as one of Canadian Lawyer’s Top Litigation Boutique Firms in Canada 2023.– Office conveniently located in Toronto’s Financial District!Duties and Responsibilities:– Processing of bi-weekly and monthly payrolls;– Posting of payroll transactions to general ledger;– Benefits administration including new hires and terminations;– Monthly reconciliations of trust accounts General Ledger, Accounts Receivable and WIP Support;– Monthly subledger reconciliations;– Deposits and/or obtain certified cheques from banks;– Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers;– Perform cash receipt processing and analysis;– Reconcile several firm operating bank accounts;– Research/rectify statement errors;– Respond to inquiries regarding firm and trust accounting guidelines;– Prepare paperwork for funds invested in Term Deposits/GICs;– Annual T4 preparations and filings;– Additional tasks as required.Requirements– CGA/CPA certification;– Three years of relevant experience, preferably in a professional or legal services firm;– Payroll experience and knowledge of payroll compliance and processing;– Law Firm Trust accounting experience;Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;– Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment;– Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills; and– Excellent written and verbal communication.
