The role of Trusts and Foundations Officer provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with administrative experience to join the department, supporting the Trusts and Foundations team in managing, organising and liaising with a growing portfolio of trust and foundation donors.The post holder will work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Fundraisers and the Senior manager to ensure in-depth knowledge of Museum activities and related grant income. They will prepare interesting, informative and accurate reports for funders, working with original funding requirements, aims and objectives. They will take a responsibility for the record keeping of grant contracts to ensure accurate paper trails for auditing purposes, as well as ensuring donor/prospect relationship records are kept up to date on the fundraising database Raisers Edge and where appropriate logged on Royal Museum Greenwich’s electronic records system.Other responsibilities within this role include supporting with the Trusts and Foundations team on major trust bids. They will collaborate with fundraisers to ensure an open and supportive approach to fundraising, maximising opportunities, finding efficiencies and sharing knowledge. They will also collaborate cross-departmentally to foster trusting relationships with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective working when preparing activity and financial reports. The post holder will hold a responsibility for ensuring the team’s ways of working meet the Museum’s values around sustainability, observing all health and safety rules and procedures are adhered to, and building a departmental culture which values and promotes a positive attitude to equality, diversity and inclusion.The successful candidate will have strong IT skills, particularly using Microsoft Office; excellent organisational skills; meticulous attention to detail; and a confident team player with a collaborative mindset willing to get stuck in.This is a full time, fixed term role for 18 months, with a possibility for extension, in Band 6 – Management and Technical Specialists.
