This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to work with a bright and motivated class, preparing them for the next exciting step in their educational journey.About the Role
This temporary position will run until July 2025, with the possibility of a permanent role from September 2025. As a Year 6 teacher, you will play a key role in ensuring the children’s academic success, particularly in preparation for their transition to secondary school. You will inspire curiosity, encourage independent learning, and foster a love of learning in your students.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver creative, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge Year 6 pupils.
- Prepare students for key assessments and their transition to secondary school.
- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports individual development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and support school initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of student progress.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching Year 6 (or equivalent) in a primary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and SATs preparation.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering each child’s personal and academic development.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
