Job Title: UX/UI DesignerJob Overview:
We are looking for a skilled UX/UI Designer to join our Client’s team and design human-centered digital solutions that improve government services. The role involves creating intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences for a wide audience. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform online government services, ensuring they meet user needs and align with organisational goals.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for government platforms, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and UI design.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and policy makers to create user-driven designs.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Ensure all designs meet web accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Create and maintain design systems for consistency across platforms.
- Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and communicate design rationale.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve user experiences.
- Provide training in design and prototyping tools.
Key Qualifications:
- NFQ Level 6 in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, or related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in the public sector.
- Strong portfolio showcasing intuitive user experiences and visually compelling interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and prototyping tools.
- Experience in user research, usability testing, and data-driven design.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
Desirable Skills:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with large-scale web applications or public sector projects.
