Your key responsibilities

  • Responsible to identify, develop and market rates hedging solutions in collaboration with CSG Rates colleagues, structuring, trading and research globally
  • Complement the EMEA origination sales in all aspects of the rates derivatives sales process, from idea generation, product and pitch development, to structuring solutions and execution
  • Develop value adding services that make a difference for our clients (e.g. adding value in hedge consulting, risk management or hedge accounting)
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute complex rates transactions, including hedge coordinations and deal contingent hedging
  • Guide and assure the quality of pitching material and follow-up reports that are produced by our pool of junior colleagues and interns
  • Continously educate and support FM colleagues, Sector coverage and Product colleagues, as well as clients on rates products
  • Visit clients and sales locations in EMEA together with the local origination sales to pitch rates solutions

As a VP at FM CSG Rates, you will also need:

  •  A university degree in econometrics, business economics, financial engineering, and/or CFA or equivalent academic background
  • 7+ years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets products (swaps, forwards, options in various asset classes) and international finance (debt capital markets, M&A); knowledge on hedge accounting and financial risk management is considered a plus
  • Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills. Affinity with legal documentation is a plus
  • Excellent command of English; Fluent in Dutch or French is considered a plus
  • Strong presentation skills (creating PowerPoint pitches and presenting)
  • Ability to work independently on various transactions/projects at the same time, often under pressure, and to prioritize accordingly
  • Didactically strong, a natural teacher/mentor
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial drive, natural can do attitude
