This position reports to the Director, ALM Strategy – TDS Treasury, TD Securities, who is responsible for management and oversight of TD Securities non-trading balance sheet including managing risk exposures and related P&L volatility.

TDS Treasury’s mandate is to be compliant with TDS’ Liquidity Framework and to realize efficiencies by strategically and proactively managing the aggregate funding profile across Global Markets and Corporate & Investment Banking.

Job Requirements

• Deep understanding capital markets industry including products and services in both markets and banking
• Strong understanding of hedge accounting and hedge accounting strategies
• Strong People Leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing, diverse teams
• Ability to establish strong relationships with key business partners
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with ability to influence outcomes
• Robust organizational knowledge with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Qualifications

• Prefer

5 years of experience in bank treasury, short-term interest rate markets or accounting and liquidity management related function * Strong leadership skills and ability to explain and communicate technical concepts to a business audience

• Ability to lead a group with stakeholders and multiple businesses.
• Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge or experience with:

• Understanding of regulatory liquidity risk and concepts
• Understanding of short-term interest rate markets
• Understanding of accounting rules and regulation related NTMR
• Good skills with use of Microsoft Excel, Bloomberg, and PowerPoint.

Job Details

This position reports to the Director, ALM Strategy – TDS Treasury, TD Securities, who is responsible for management and oversight of TD Securities non-trading balance sheet including managing risk exposures and related P&L volatility.
The VP, ALM Strategy – TDS Treasury, will be accountable for:

• Understanding and explaining balance sheet dynamics, including planning and forecasting of TDS Balance Sheet with the business and Finance
• Managing and monitoring non-trading market risk based on appropriate risk appetite and P&L metrics
• Analyzing and being part of team to direct TDS’ overall non-trading market risk and liquidity strategies
• The development and support of TDS’ hedge accounting program including the execution of hedge accounting trades
• Optimizing liquidity and funding booking models across regions and on a consolidated TDS basis
• Providing support on change initiatives impacting liquidity and funding including strategic, technology and regulatory change (e.g. IRRBB, ARR)
• Advise non-trading businesses on liquidity assumptions, process and strategic FTP treatment
